Required Degree(s) and Area of Specialty: Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field
Minimum Years of Work and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
The successful candidate should have at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in protein chemistry and a background in modern mass spectrometry and separation sciences. Extensive experience in MS-based proteomics and biological sample handling is highly desirable. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment are essential.
Primary Duties:
Primary responsibilities include application of cutting-edge separation and mass spectrometric technologies to biomedical research, providing support to a variety of challenging projects in cardiovascular research and other clinical areas. This individual will participate in the setup of a new proteomics core lab, compile and analyze data, prepare reports, operate/maintain mass spectrometers and HPLC/FPLC systems, and contribute to design and execution of research projects.
